The National Institute of Statistics (INE) presented the behavior of the prices of construction supplies in April. In that month, of the 89 products and services of the representative basket, 26 did not suffer variations and 9 reflected a decrease.
White PVC profiles for windows and doors showed low, -4.49%; the anodized aluminum profile, -3.78%; diesel fuel, -2.64%; white national tile, -1.92%, and the bronze gate valve, -1.58%.
Hydrated lime, 3000 PSI concrete, lubricating grease, red corrugated sheet, reusable formwork, concrete pipes, tayuyo brick, clay tile and prefabricated walls, are among the products whose prices were maintained, according to the Construction Materials Price Index (IPMC) for April.
While the chipboard was quoted upwards, 6.92%; wood for rustic pine formwork, 8.56%; 1-inch PVC pipe, 10.07%; 1-inch metal duct, 22.24%, and others, explained Evelyn Chacón, director of Indexes and Statistics of the INE.
