In a press conference, the Municipal Club officially presented the Mexican Juan Antonio Torres Servín, as its new technical director, taking the place vacated by the Paraguayan José Saturnino Cardozo.
Torres Servin, arrives at the Reds after leading the Tlaxcala team in his native country and this will be his second team to lead in Guatemala, after his time with the Antigua GFC team, which he made champion in 2019.
"It is a pride for me to be part of the Municipal club, I am very happy and excited and together with my coaching staff we will seek to give them joy and fight to win the 32nd crown and do well in the international tournament," said the Mexican.
The new scarlet coach becomes the 51st in history and the first Mexican to lead the team.
Along with Torres, Diego Meza Salinas, son of the experienced Enrique "Ojitos" Meza, and the Uruguayan/Italian physical trainer Pablo Gabriel Sanguinetti with a great journey in Mexican football and South America, arrive as technical assistant.
“This team is here to fight and to compete in the Concacaf League, we will go step by step and the first thing we will do is prepare the team in the preseason and then face the first game that we will have in the tournament against Cobán Imperial”, he mentioned.
The strategist carefully observes his new squad and as he analyzes it, he will see which players to request to reinforce the zones that he deems appropriate.
